The Hollywood Reporter reports that director Sean Levy has signed a deal with Marvel to direct a third Deadpool movie. This news was also confirmed by Ryan Reynolds. He and director Levy worked together on the films "Protagonist" and the recent "Project Adam".
The script will be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two films. Plot details have not been revealed, but Reynolds recently made it known that an early version of the script featured Wolverine, with whom Deadpool would go on an adventure.
The new Deadpool chapter will be the first anti-hero movie to be released since Disney Studios acquired 20th Century Fox in March 2019. The R-rating will be retained, which Kevin Feigy has already confirmed. The film will, of course, be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The release date is not yet known.
