Actor Nicolas Cage, in an interview for GQ, answered the question of whether he is involved in Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness and whether he will reprise his role as Ghost Rider from 2007. After Spider-Man: No Way Home touched on a theme with the cartoon universe and featured characters from other films, Cage's cameo might have a place. However, the actor denied any information about his appearance, stating the following

"Oh, I don't think so. I don't think they would consider me. I mean, I would. It would be fun. And I'd love to work with Cumberbatch, but I don't think it's going to happen."

"In the Madness of Cartoon Network" will chronicle the adventures of Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), who deals with the problems of the cartoon universe after the events of Spider-Man: Dead End. He turns to Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and current Sorcerer Supreme Wong (Benedict Wong) for help. In one of the myriad universes, Strange will encounter the most dangerous enemy possible: his own dark version.
