Episode 1
Condemned to immortality, former great warrior Kim Shin searches for someone to see the sword in his chest and pull it out, finally allowing him to die. For 900 years he has lived in this world and each new day is more painful than the last. He was betrayed by the king himself many years ago and was sentenced to death. But Kim didn't die, he was turned into the devil.
Kim saves the girl who was supposed to die. After some time, this girl gives birth to a child. From the first day, the gods understand that the girl is the devil's lover. She grows up and sees people's souls. Her mother is used to her visions. You can't say she likes it: it bothers her. The day the girl is born, her mother dies. Soon after, an angel of death comes to her house. She doesn't understand how the child could have been born, since her mother is supposed to have died 10 years ago. Her grandmother, who had advised her mother to pray while she was dying, advises the girl to leave the village. Furthermore, we learn that this grandmother was also a deity.
Ten years pass. Eun-tak's reputation is not the best at the university. Everyone suspects that she sees ghosts. Also, she is unhappy with her family. On her birthday, she decides to break her word and make a wish. She wishes for a job, a boyfriend and for something to happen to her aunt's family. Immediately after these words, Kim appears in front of her. She informs her that she will soon be working in a restaurant and that she should say goodbye to her aunt's family as soon as possible, because she may never see them again.
Coincidentally, two powerful forces, the tokebi and the grim reaper, find themselves under the same roof, now neighbors who cannot digest each other. When it turns out that the object of their search is the same girl, events take an even more unpredictable turn.
Eun-tak now knows how to summon Kim. He also guesses that Kim is the devil. She now believes that she is the devil's girlfriend, namely Kim.
Episode 2
When Eun-tak and Kim miraculously meet in Kogkong, Kim is surprised. After all, Eun-tak came with him through an invisible door. He asks her a question: who are you? But Eun-tak keeps repeating: the bride of the devil. Kim doesn't believe her. Meanwhile, the angel of death keeps looking for Eun-tak.
Eun-tak returns to her hometown and is late for school. Her teacher scolds her for it. On her way out of school, she meets a girl in the bathroom who gives her some spinach and asks her to invite her family (the girl is the same grandmother from series 1). Upon returning home, Eun-tak does so. But she ends up fighting with her family and leaves the house. She gets angry about the hard day and cries. Meanwhile, Kim wonders how Eun-tak can walk through the door with him.
Eun-tak gets a job. After the job, she meets the angel of death. He wants to take her away, but then the devil Kim appears. It is at this moment that Eun-tak discovers that he is the devil.
Eun-tak does not return home. His aunt finds his place of work, but he doesn't find her there. When he comes home, he finds people at home who he owes money to. They threaten her and then she says that her niece Eun-tak has all the money. Then the men kidnap Eun-tak. She tries to summon the devil Kim, but to no avail. Thanks to her tattoo, the devil senses that she is in trouble. Finally, the devil and the angel of death appear before the kidnappers and Eun-tak.
Episode 3
The angel of death and the devil Kim rescue Eun-tak from his captors. The angel of death then learns that he will soon have to fill out a form for the missing souls in his territory.
He misses Eun-tak, who has finally separated from the devil. Everywhere, everything seems to hint at the devil for her. Finally, the devil doesn't hold back and appears before Eun-tak. He wants her to see him with a sword, but Eun-tak sees nothing. He takes her to restaurants and stores in the hope that Eun-tak will see something after all. She sees nothing, and the couple says goodbye again forever.
The devil asks the angel - of death - not to touch Eun-tak. The latter says that he had no intention of touching her. He is her problem. The devil Kim then promises to leave, provided that the angel of death does not take him away. Then, the devil goes to Eun-tak's house, then to her house to pack his bags. Meanwhile, the angel of death meets a girl on the bridge who sells hairpins and costume jewelry (the grandmother from the first episode). After the saleswoman shows her a mirror, something happens in the Angel of Death's mind and her eyes are drawn to the ring (ring from series 1). Then, Eun-tak's boss comes and takes the ring.
Eun-tak has nowhere to go, so after asking the ghosts for the devil's address, he goes to her house. She tells him that she will tell him what she sees, but in exchange for marriage and money. The devil agrees. Then Eun-tak tells him that he sees a sword in her chest.
Episode 4
Eun-tak makes herself at home in the devil's house. While she already dreams of having a family and children, the devil doesn't know what to do. So she asks her mentors to take her to a hotel. Then the devil starts acting strange. Now he doesn't want to die, he wants to live. The angel of death and the devil's mentor don't understand what to do with him. The angel of death is also depressed because of the girl.
The devil mentor drives Eun-tak to school in his fancy car. Eun-tak feels uncomfortable about the situation. Meanwhile, Eun-tak's aunt receives her punishment.
The devil finds out that the boy he helped died of old age (this was in the first episode). He asks the angel of death to leave his duties for a while. He talks to this boy and sends him to heaven. The angel of death asks him, "Why did you do that? He replies, "I shouldn't do it. But I can't not do it.
Eun-tak summons the devil. She wants him to answer her question: why did it take him so long to come to you? The devil ends up getting drunk on two beers and they go shopping and walking in the park. During their conversation, the talk turns to the sword. It is only in the morning that the devil remembers. The next day, the devil picks her up from school and they walk again. During this walk, the devil realizes that he is in love with Eun-tak.
Episode 5
After talking to Eun-tak, the devil gets sick. He begins to have pain in the place where the sword is. Meanwhile, Eun-tak helps the ghost. The angel of death meets Eun-tak's boss on the bridge. She expresses her displeasure that he never called her. Then she invites him for coffee, and the Angel of Death has to accept.
The devil approaches Eun-tak and invites her to move in with him, and also confesses that he loves her. Eun-tak doesn't believe his words because it is pouring rain outside. But she moves in with him anyway. On the way there, she asks him his name. He replies that his name has changed, but his real name is Kim Shin.
After Eun-tak arrives, the Angel of Death and the Demon have some questions: how to open the door with the code and where will she sleep? Finally, they open the door from the inside and Eun-tak falls asleep in the devil's room. The next day, the devil's mentor teaches him and the angel of death how to use the phone.
The devil prepares the room for Eun-tak. And the Angel of Death asks Eun-tak to give him a name, since he doesn't have one.
Episode 6
The devil approaches Eun-tak and asks him to pull the sword out of his chest. Eun-tak cries at his request. She feels very sorry for him. After all, he has waited so many years for his love to be found and for him to die. Meanwhile, the Angel of Death has an appointment with Eun-tak's boss. But the appointment proves to be a failure. Then he meets her on a bridge and immediately becomes invisible, which frightens her.
Devil Kim and Eun-tak take a long walk and talk. Devil tells her who he'd rather keep out of trouble. Eun-tak still believes that Kim will not die by drawing her sword, but will only become more beautiful.
The Angel of Death begins to talk to Eun-tak frequently. Eun-tak asks him, How did you know where to look for me when I was 19? The angel of death does not answer. He just tells himself that she will die at the age of 29.
The devil prepares for Eun-tak to draw his sword. He asks his old mentor to burn a portrait of his former lover. She gives her young mentor her credit card with the money. The angel of death asks him to protect Eun-tak. He also does not leave Eun-tak without gifts. He gives her money to enter college and a bag. At the appointed time and place, Eun-tak prepares to pull the sword from the devil's chest, but she does not succeed. She cannot grasp the sword. Then she kisses him.
Episode 7
After the devil doesn't die, he gets all his gifts back from Eun-tak and his mentor. He doesn't understand why Eun-tak couldn't pull out the sword. Meanwhile, the Angel of Death is faced with a decision. He cannot make up his mind to tell Eun-tak what will happen if he pulls out the sword.
The day of Eun-tak's test has come. As she leaves the exam, she sees that no one is coming to meet her and feels sad. She watches as other students are hugged and congratulated by their families. But when she returns home, shortly after opening the door, she sees a large cake in the hands of an angel of death and the devil's mentor and the devil himself beside her, on the doorstep. As Eun-tak blows out the candle on the cake, she wishes to see a movie with the devil in the theater. The devil decides to grant her wish.
The Angel of Death is still unable to see his beloved in peace. He often accompanies her after work and protects her from trouble.
The devil goes to Eun-tak's house after school with a bouquet of flowers. There he sees Eun-tak boisterously and happily chatting with a female student. It turns out that the man is an old friend of Eun-tak. A little later, Eun-tak confesses to the devil that this college guy is her first love.
Eun-tak goes on a date with a childhood friend. While the devil is going crazy with jealousy, the angel of death has another problem. His lover calls him and he is afraid to talk to her. So he asks Eun-tak to talk to her. After Eun-tak hears her boss's voice, she begins to wonder if she has heard that voice before (she still doesn't know that the Angel of Death is in love with her boss).
While the devil searches for Eun-tak, the Angel of Death and the mentor reveal a picture of his former lover. Upon seeing the image of the girl, the Angel of Death begins to cry.
After running and talking to the devil, Eun-tak realizes that she can touch the sword. She decides to pull it out, but the devil is unwilling to do so and pushes her away. She then dodges the impact and flies right into the truck. The devil saves her and causes a big accident.
Episode 8
The angel of death and the devil's mentor have to deal with the aftermath of the accident. While the devil digests the thought that Eun-tak is really his girlfriend, the angel of death looks at the portrait of the unknown girl and does not understand why he is hurt and sad. The mentor tells the devil about the incident that happened to the Angel of Death when he saw the portrait. The devil then questions the angel of death and tells him that the portrait is not of his lover, but of his older sister.
The Angel of Death shows up at the café where Eun-tak works. He does not tell her why he has come, but Eun-tak suspects. Eun-tak's childhood friend also begins to visit the café. This infuriates the devil.
The Angel of Death and his colleagues prepare for a serious accident. Many people have to die in this accident. But because of the devil, not everything goes according to plan, because Eun-tak gets on the bus that is supposed to cause the accident.
After years of learning about the devil, the Angel of Death feels a pain in his chest. He begins to suspect that all these oddities in his life began after seeing the portrait of a girl.
The deity meets the devil and tells him to quickly turn to ashes as he kills his son Eun-tak with his life. Meanwhile, Eun-tak learns from the angel of death that the devil will die if he draws the sword.
Episode 9
El Diablo is looking everywhere for his girlfriend, but she is nowhere to be found. She is gone. The Angel of Death confesses that he told her his secret about the sword. He says he did it because he doesn't want him to die. Time passes. The devil still cannot find his bride. Because of this, strange things happen in the village.
Finally, the devil's mentor finds Eun-tak at a ski resort. The devil appears to him and asks him to come home. Eun-tak refuses. Then the devil stands guard under his windows every day.
The Angel of Death approaches the devil and gives him a card with the name of the missing soul, whose name is Eun-tak. He tells him that they must not give up, but save Eun-tak. This time, the cause of Eun-tak's death must be hyperthermia. The devil manages to find and save his friend.
Eun-tak returns home and to her favorite job. When the devil accompanies her to work, they notice an angel of death sitting next to her boss. They sit together and have a conversation. When the angel of death touches her lover's hand, she suddenly remembers her former love (the devil's sister).
Episode 10
After the incident, the Angel of Death and the Devil ask each other, "Is she Sonny Kim's sister?" The next day, the Angel of Death asks Sonny for the ring at the café, and she gives it to him. In the evening, the Angel of Death questions the devil about his past and the man who killed him. Their conversation is overheard by Eun-tak.
Eun-tak and the devil visit the grave of the library ghost together. At his grave, he sees a picture of the ghost with his mother. She asks the devil to go back to the library with her. She finds the ghost in the library and the ghost tells her that she and her mother were friends. That's why she kept her mother's insurance money for Eun-tak. That is why she could not leave this world. The devil asks his employee to get a signature from Eun-tak's aunt because without her signature, Eun-tak cannot get the money.
Episode 11
The devil comes to Sunny's house, calls her San and hugs her. Eun-tak is jealous of him as she doesn't understand why Devil visits her beautiful boss so often. Finally, Sunny can't take it anymore and goes to Devil's house and discovers that her boyfriend, Devil and Eun-tak are living together. Devil tells her about his past life. Sonny takes the whole situation very badly.
At her graduation, a deity (the grandmother from series 1) comes up to Sonny, hugs her and gives her a bouquet of flowers. The devil also comes to congratulate her. After graduation, they walk around a lot and take pictures.
The devil tells Eun-tak that she will soon die from a fall if she doesn't draw her sword. Eun-tak decides that they will die together and tells the devil her decision. He hopes that they will then be reborn. But the devil only laughs in response to his speculation. As the day of their death approaches, the devil is constantly by their side, if not near them, he comes immediately at their call. Eun-tak decides to help the ghost and almost kills herself in the process. The devil manages to arrive in time. Meanwhile, Sunny discovers that her friend is the angel of death.
An incomprehensible and even frightening ghost appears in Sunny's café.
Episode 12
The Angel of Death and Sunny suffer greatly from not being able to be together. After Eun-tak tells the Angel of Death and the Devil that Dog Hwa read the Devil's diary, all the weirdness about him makes sense. He finds a maple leaf, meets Eun-tak at a ski resort, learns about the Angel of Death's ability to erase memories, and more. It turns out that the devil's mentor, Dog Hwa, is a deity. He is the one who created the devil. The devil and the angel of death find Dog Hwa at the club. They inform him that they know everything. After saying a few words, the deity leaves Dog Hwa and flies away.
The spirit meets the Angel of Death (the girl) and tells him to hold Sunny's hand and remember his past life.
The devil learns that his mentor, who committed suicide 900 years ago, has been resurrected. In gratitude, he helps him find a job, an apartment and a car. Meanwhile, Eun-tak meets the ghost again. The ghost says that he is Park Joon-won and that he was killed by Kim. He informs her that Man-e, who stabbed Kim with a sword, is now living with him. The angel of death is Wang Ye. Next, the angel of death approaches Eun-tak. He wants to talk to her about the past. He wants to know...who she is from the past. She also has no doubt that he was Kim Shin's enemy.
The Angel of Death approaches Sonny and kisses her. The kiss from the Angel of Death brings back memories of a past life. Sonny remembers and sees both the Angel of Death and Kim in his past. When the Angel of Death learns this, he erases Sonny's memory. The next day, the devil comes to Sonny to pay him for dinner. Sonny hugs him and calls him brother.
Eun-tak tells the devil that she met Park Joon-won. The devil finds him and tells him the same thing Eun-tak told him: the Angel of Death is Man-e. So Kim finds out that the angel of death is his murderer.
Episode 13
After talking to the angel of death, the devil decides to leave the house with Eun-tak. He doesn't want to live with his killer anymore. Next, the Angel of Death meets Joon-won's spirit next to Sonny. He promises to kill Sonny. After that, the angel of death calls the devil. The devil misses him, so he's glad for the call.
The angel of death is visited by an inspection. They say that he did not fulfill his duties. They punish him - they give him his memories of a previous life. The Angel of Death learns that he suffered greatly after the death of his wife in a previous life. He eventually committed suicide.
The angel of death asks the devil to kill him again. The devil refuses. Meanwhile, a ghost from Kim's past appears before Eun-tak. He has come to kill Sonny. Thanks to Eun-tak's sign, the devil's sister is saved. The Angel of Death's colleague warns him that he is temporarily working in his territory and has received an envelope with Eun-tak's name.
The devil asks the angel of death to protect his sister. After speaking with the Angel of Death, the devil realizes the purpose of the sword: to destroy Park-jung.
The devil and Eun-tak spend a beautiful night together. The next day, the devil walks around saying goodbye in spirit to all his loved ones. He asks Eun-tak to call him when he calls her. As a sign of farewell, he kisses her. The devil appears in front of the ghost, but disappears and appears in front of Eun-tak. She can't see him. She has not seen any ghosts at all lately. The Angel of Death notices that the date of Eun-tak's death has changed on the map. The angel of death turns out to be Eun-tak and the devil's savior.
The devil pulls out a sword with Eun-tak's hand. With this sword he kills the ghost and then dies himself.
Episode 14
The devil remains between two worlds. Time passes. The devil's memory is erased. Eun-tak is already a radio producer. Eun-tak meets the Angel of Death in a cafe, but they don't recognize each other.
After Eun-tak makes a birthday wish, Kim stands in front of her. But she doesn't remember him. Kim then turns to her mentor, her sister, but neither of them can remember. The only one who remembers is the angel of death. Kim is very happy about this.
The devil cuts his hair and stays with the angel. He is very happy to be back home. The next day, Eun-tak notices that something starts to change in her life. Kim keeps appearing in front of her. She doesn't understand what is going on.
Angel is tired of Kim borrowing money from her all the time. She starts making jokes about it. Finally, Kim decides to show up at his company to at least take the bars. He announces to the company president and his mentor that he is fire and water and that his name is Kim. They immediately remember his grandfather's words and the will.
Angel goes to Sonny to deliver the letter. But he has no luck, because Sonny doesn't show up at the café. He then gives the letter to the café employee. But then he meets her on the street. She does not recognize him. Later, the letter finally reaches its addressee: Eun-tak.
Kim asks Eun-tak for a date. She immediately says yes. On the date, Eun-tak tells Kim that she wants to go on vacation. Finally, Kim and Eun-tak meet in Canada.
Episode 15
Eun-tak and Kim have fun in Canada. Eun-tak meets a woman in the park who recognizes her pendant. She says a man came to her 10 years ago and asked her to make this pendant. Eun-tak finds this strange. Meanwhile, Sonny investigates how the letter got to his new cafe. He also wonders who the cute guy is who brought him the letter.
Eun-tak sees a photo and Kim's name on the tombstones. Now everything is definitely messed up in her head. Sonny and the angel meet at a coffee shop. After his return, a conversation with the boy reveals that Sunny's memory has not been erased and he remembers everything. The meeting with the angel was very difficult for them.
Eun-tak remembers everything. She runs to the candle and blows on it. Then she shouts to the whole street that she misses him. Then Kim appears and kisses her. After returning to Korea, Eun-tak stays with Kim. There she meets the angel. She smilingly tells him that she is 29 years old. Then it occurs to the angel that she must die at the age of 29.
Sunny announces to Eun-tak that she will move out. She will be better off. In the park, Kim proposes to Eun-tak, which she accepts.
Episode 16
A love letter arrives to Eun-tak in her newsroom. Reading it, Eun-tak understands that it is from Sunny. He rushes to her, but has to see that she has disappeared. The letter is heard by his brother and Angel on the radio. His brother and Eun-tak go straight home, but Angel knows where they have to go. He goes directly to the bridge and meets Sonny there. They say goodbye. Sunny tells him that they will not meet again in this life.
Eun-tak and the devil get married. The mentor, the angel and the director of the company attend the solemn dinner. Seeing how the angel and the devil behave, the director of the company faints. The lovers are happy. But the dark prediction of the angel of death comes true. At the age of 29, Eun-tak dies and saves the lives of the children. In the Angel of Death, Eun-tak asks the devil to wait for her while she says her goodbyes. She promises to come back, and in order not to forget her past life, she does not drink tea. Time passes. The devil waits for his beloved. Sonny dies of old age. The angel of death completes his work. After some time, they are reincarnated and meet again.
